AxCMS works with two separated systems - Management- and Live-System. All static (texts, pictures, documents etc.) and dynamic (applications) contents are created in the Management-System and then published by secure XML Web Services to one or more Live-servers.

The system is bilingual, german and english. Other language versions can be generated without great efforts, just by translating about 1.000 terms and phrases within the database.
